My name is Guenet Gebreselaissie. I am Ethiopian. I was born and raised there. Ethiopia is in East Africa bordered by Sudan in the West, Somilia and Djibouti in the East, Kenya in the South, and Eriteria in the North.

 

It has several high mountains; Ras Dashan is the second high mountain in the world. its height is 15.158ft(4.620)m.(state dept.). The Blue Nile is a famous river, which flows to Sudan and Egypt. Lake Tana is its source.

 

There are more than 80 different ethnic groups with different languages,customs and traditions. Amharic is common langrage spoken. Tigirgna, Orominga, Guragigna, Somali, Arabic,English and Itilian are spoken, too.

 

Ethiopia is an old country with rich history originally. It is called Abyssinia, "Africa's the oldest state". The oldest human ancestors were found in Ethiopia.(State Dept).

Ethiopia is rich in history, tradition and natural beauty.

 

The Blue Nile is one of the famious largest river ,that flows and joines

 

the white Nile in Karthum,then to Sudan and Egypt. This river is called

 

the river of life,for it carries soil from Ethiopia to Egypt that is used

 

to fertlize their soil. Lake Tana being the source in Bahir Dar, this

 

majestic river formes a waterfall known Tisisatt,"smoking water".

 

However the tradition is that more than 80 different ethinc group with

 

different languages as well as customs and traditions. The common spoken

 

language is Amharic.

 

In addition to the beauty, Ethiopia is mountaines, Ras Dashin is the second

 

highest mountain in Africa. very rare animals like wilia ibex and red fox

 

are found in mount Ras Dashin. It is one of the turist attraction. The

 

hight of the mountain is 15.158ft.

 

While the tradition of Ethiopia is its hospitality,respect and hambel.

 

Strong in faith,christian and moslum lives in hrmoney.

 

In general Ethiopia,orignally known Abyssinia. Where the oldest human

Hi, Guenet. I learned that Ethiopia is an old, attractive country from your essay. Would you be a bit more specific? For example, you spoke of customs and traditions, then you try to talk about waht is different about them in your country?

Guenet!Thank you for all the information about your country. It is very interesting! But I would like to learn more about some things. For example you wrote about mountains and I think you can give more details about them. Also it's good to use more adjectives. In that way we can make the text more informative and colorful.
